Reel Rights ("we," "us," "our") operates a marketplace where writers and rights holders list screenplays, scripts, and other film/media rights for option, sale, or financing, and buyers browse and bid on those listings.
Account information
Name, email address, and a hashed password when you create an account.
Profile information
An optional bio and profile photo you choose to add.
Listing information
When you list a work for sale, we collect the title, logline, description, category, and deal terms you provide, along with any files you upload — poster images, video, a manuscript, and a copyright registration receipt used to confirm you hold the rights you're listing.
Cookies
We use a session cookie (reelrights_session) to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
We share data with the following service providers, solely to operate the platform:
We do not sell your personal information. Listing details you mark public (title, logline, poster, video) are visible to anyone browsing the marketplace; manuscripts and copyright receipts are kept private and are not publicly downloadable.
You can edit your profile information and photo, or permanently delete your account at any time from your profile's edit page. Deleting your account removes your login credentials and personal profile data; listings you've already posted remain visible but are no longer associated with your account.
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active, and delete it upon account deletion as described above. Listing files are retained for as long as the listing remains on the platform.
Passwords are stored as salted hashes, never in plain text. We use HTTPS encryption in transit for all traffic to this site.
We may update this policy as the platform evolves. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do.
